The A Year Better project is presented at Tiers Lieu Faire-Liens

As part of the Erasmus+ co-funded project A Year Better, E-Seniors, in collaboration with Tiers Lieu Faire-Liens, organised a multiplier event in Paris on 18 June 2026. The event brought together around 28 seniors from the fifteenth district and other surrounding districts Paris. The afternoon was dedicated to ICT skills, healthy and active ageing opportunities and breaking the digital divide.

The multiplier event provided an opportunity to introduce the A Year Better project to members of the local community and to highlight the importance of accessible educational opportunities that promote digital inclusion, wellbeing, and active ageing among older adults.

Held in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, the event also featured a buffet of summer tarts, creating a pleasant setting for participants to meet, exchange ideas, and enjoy informal conversations. After a brief introduction, the project team presented the main objectives of A Year Better, its activities, and the results achieved so far.

Participants were then invited to explore the A Year Better platform and discover the resources it offers to support older adults in setting personal goals, developing new skills, and improving their overall wellbeing. The platform's accessibility features, including audio reading, videos, and adjustable font sizes, were presented to demonstrate how it can meet the needs of users with different levels of digital confidence. Interactive quizzes were also tested during the session, making the presentation more engaging and encouraging active participation.

The discussions that followed showed a genuine interest in the topics addressed by the project. Participants exchanged views on the importance of staying mentally active during retirement, maintaining leisure and intellectual activities, and developing digital skills to remain connected and independent. The feedback received was very positive, with attendees appreciating both the practical value of the platform and the project's inclusive approach.

The A Year Better project is co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ Programme. Its aim is to empower older adults by strengthening their digital skills, promoting inclusion, and supporting their wellbeing through innovative digital learning resources and self-assessment tools.
